Crusaders Athletic Development Association
CADA’s principle role is to make sports programs available, enhance the physical education program,affecting all students in grades K-12 who attend St. Richard Catholic Church, by providing the organization and funding for these programs. This includes the teams and players fees for C.Y.O., sports equipment, plus providing and maintaining the facility. CADA raises money through the Reverse Raffle as well as the Fish Fry's: To become involved attend a meeting held at 7 p.m. the second Monday of each month (Sept.–May).
Knights of Columbus - Sacred Heart Council
Meet at 8 p.m. on the 2nd Monday of each month. This group was formed by Father Michael McGivney to aid Catholic men in remaining true to the church and to provide assistance to widows and orphans of deceased members. There are over 1 million Knights worldwide and over 60,000 in the state of Ohio. Sacred Heart Council sponsored a Marian Hour of Prayer at St. Richard in the past and sponsors novenas at various times. The flagpole outside of St. Richard School was donated by a member and erected by the members. Knights fill many of the leadership positions at St. Richard and work at all levels in the parish. Provide scholarships to our youth. Membership is open to all Catholic men over the age of 18.
This group meets on the 2nd & 4th Wednesdays of each month. They play cards & games and enjoy fellowship together.
Rosary Altar Society
This group is responsible for supplying altar needs: bread, wine, linens, vestments. Monthly meetings are held the second Thursday of the month beginning at 7:00 pm in the Parish Life Center. They host the following special events; a catered Christmas Dinner with live entertainment, a Rummage Sale, and a Mother/Child Banquet. Some of these events require reservation, but are open to everyone in the parish.
Founded in 1964 by St. Richard Parish with the Boy Scouts of America, BSA Troop 254 camps monthly, including winter months, actively participates in District and Council activities and promotes scouting in a manner consistent with its religious sponsorship. Open to members of all faiths. Troop meetings are held on Mondays during the school year, at St. Richard School, in the Parish Life Center. There are registered scouts ranging in age from 11-15 and organized into 3 patrols.
Cub Scouts of America Pack 254 meets once a month as a Pack, which is the third Thursday of the month. The Cub Scouts then meet several times a month with their individual den/patrol specific day is chosen by the den/patrol leader. Boys who are in the first through sixth grade are welcome to join. Open to members of all faiths. There are registered scouts ranging in age from 6-11 years old and are currently organized into 3 dens and 2 patrols.
Outreach to those who are in need of a support group in regard to alcohol. A group meets here at St. Richard Parish in St. Francis Hall at 8:00 pm on Thursdays.
